Getting Rid of Tomato Skins

Let's start with something simple: peeling tomatoes.

It is a 4 step process.

1. Boil some water.

2. Drop some tomatoes in said water. (About 2 minutes)

3. Take the tomatoes out.

4. Pull the skin off. (It should just slide right off.)

  1. Ouch! I like to put them in a bowl of cold water before degloving the tomatoes. :)

  2. I don't bother. I've worked in kitchens since age 7, and am nearly at the point where I can take the tomatoes out of the water without tongs.
